Role Duties

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, those below

Take receipt of pattern assembly technique from Design Department
Confirm pattern manufacturing route. SLA pattern, Styrofoam pattern, sand print mould
Manufacture pattern as per route card issue number / rev number
If Styrofoam pattern is to be manufactured generate CAM tool paths using Autodesk Powermill
Transfer tool paths to CNC machines in Pattern shop and manufacture parts
If SLA pattern is to be manufactured, complete SLA build set up using Lightyear and Magics software
Post build SLA clean ups
Manufacture running and gating systems either by hand or CNC machining referenced on route card and/or assembly technique
Assemble pattern and running and gating system and prepare for the ceramic mould department
Ensure all patterns have been measured by the CMM department prior to assembly
Operate 3D sand printing machine
Clean and prepare for casting 3D sand printed moulds
Raise NCR’s when required
Ensure housekeeping is maintained to a high standard
