Role Duties

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, those below

  • Work with and under the supervision of the Thermal Processing Lead to learn all aspects and operational requirements of all internal heat treatment furnaces. Inclusive of vacuum and air, for ferrous and non-ferrous
  • Programme heat treatment cycles
  • Load and unload Furnaces using either Forklift truck and or overhead crane or manual (weight permitting)
  • Analyse all data recorded during treatment and report accordingly
  • Job creation and output reports as and when required through WIP database with regards to the heat treatment cycles
  • Conduct Temperature Uniformity Surveys (T.U.S) & System Accuracy Test (S.A.T)
  • Preventative maintenance
  • Stock control for consumables
  • Responsible for external thermal processing requirements i.e. sub con activities
  • Update / maintain internal WIP / ERP system for calibrations
  • Creation and upkeep of Operating procedures for Thermal processing equipment
  • Undertake additional training in reading and interpret customer specifications for Technique creation
  • Assist with internal / external audits as and when required
