Role Duties

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, those below

  • Operate KEA shelling line i.e. run robotic existing programmes
  • Ensure all materials meet the required specifications and value
  • Ensure ceramic material is applied using the correct technique on both manual and automated shelling lines
  • Remove the ceramic assembly from its metallic manipulation fixture
  • Pre-heat ceramic moulds in the low temperature oven (non-wax assemblies only)
  • Operation of Flash Fire Furnaces (Pacific Kiln)
  • Wash clean ceramic mould in Weir wash system
  • Assemble ceramic moulds to make available for the casting process for both vacuum and air melting
  • Report all maintenance issues to your shift supervisor immediately
  • Slurry testing and recording where required
  • Ensure housekeeping is maintained to a high standard
