Role Duties

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, those below

Oversee day-to-day operations of the Ceramic Mould Making Department when the Departmental Manager is unavailable
Review shelling procedures, aim points, and process controls; implement updates in consultation with or in the absence of the Departmental Manager
Drive improvements to shelling processes with consideration for downstream manufacturing requirements
Lead and support problem-solving activities for shell-related technical issues
Review coating practices regularly and identify areas requiring corrective action
Ensure zirconia and plate weight/density checks are completed daily before use
Confirm that slurries in heavy production cycles – particularly those used on the automated shelling system – are tested throughout the day as per operating procedure
Monitor binder solids weekly and ensure monthly external testing to validate in-house analysis and total binder solids until full internal capability is established
Evaluate slurry conditions and provide technical support whenever results fall outside control limits, assist in adding of required materials to the base material
Monitor and test incoming raw materials used in shell manufacture, including arranging external testing for refractory flours
Maintain oversight of all procedural changes and ensure compliance across the department
Ensure daily slurry testing is completed according to the agreed schedule
Prepare calculations for required slurry additions
Conduct routine environmental monitoring to maintain environmental control
Liaise with the Technical Team during periodic investigations, audits, and reviews of process results
Required material testing as per Company procedures
Material control
Ensure operational suitability of key equipment
