Previous Experience

Previous experience of sales and business development in a manufacturing or engineering setting would be preferrable.

Project management skills would also be useful.

Brilliant communication skills, written and verbal, are essential.

The successful candidate must be able to work on their own initiative.

An engineering degree would be preferred but candidates must be able to read drawings and interpret customer requirements.

Role Duties

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, those below

  • Supporting existing customers with technical and commercial queries
  • Direct account management and involvement in customer-specific technical development projects
  • Providing product and process information, quotations, and managing the enquiry review process
  • Taking receipt of orders and inputting them into the WIP system, while adhering to the QMS system
  • Collaborating with teams in design, process development, quality, and production
  • Liaising with sub-contract companies
  • Supporting marketing activities and attending exhibitions
  • Handling inbound calls from new or potential customers
